einen Monat mehr in Amerika. . .
Flight has been booked. I leave my beloved Columbus at 7:05pm on Tuesday, October 27th. I then fly to Washington (Dulles) airport, and at 9:56pm I will be sayin' goodbye to American soil for a year. I can't even begin to put into words how both excited and nervous I am--and I still have a month before I leave. So much to do/so many people to spend some quality time with before my departure. I arrive in Germany on the 28th, a day before my 24th birthday. Looks like I'm going to have a very unique/foreign Geburtstag :) Can't.. even.. WAIT!

After-Thoughts
Yesterday, I returned home to Ohio from a long weekend in my beloved Morgantown, WV. It was so much fun with Wine & Jazz, (aside from the WVU loss to Auburn.. really?! 6 turnovers?! Not even Univ. of Florida could win if they had 6 turnovers.. uughh.. but this is all besides the point), but more importantly because so many of my close friends were in town as well. Yesterday as we all went out to grab lunch before all driving home our seperate ways, I was asked about my living abroad. I talked about my future German family, and the city I'll be living in--and of course started pushing them to all save money to come visit :P After giving them the details what is soon to be my life, a lot of them gave me the same smile that a bunch of my family friends have when telling them of my big move. They all say the same thing: "You're not coming back". But it got me thinking. Sure, I'm not there yet, and no one ever knows whats going to happen in their life, but I started thinking, and I'm pretty sure that no matter how amazing my experience will be, there is no way I could live there for the rest of my life. I honestly can say that the people in my life here mean far too much to me (possibly more than they themselves know), and I could never have a whole ocean lie between my family and friends--my soulmates :)
And not to mention, let's be serious.. I can't live without College and NFL football for the rest of my life. And I'm being 100% serious.
LETS GOOO MOUNTAINEERS!!!! GO Bucks!!! and WHO DEY!!!! :)

Flugzeugen, Züge, und Zimmer Oh My!
It is now September.. which means I am one month closer to my big move! I got my passport photos done the other day--I have to renew my passport since my last one was issued when I was under 18, and therefor only good for 5 years not the usual 10.. soo needless to say, it is expired. My mom and I got a good laugh to see how much older I look in the new one (which I suppose is to be expected, considering my first one was given to me when I was 15.. and this one when I am going on 24, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised that I look "older" ha. Dumb.) I plan on officially booking my ONE WAY flight in the next week or so. I've been able to find some relatively good deals that take me to the Köln/Bonn/Düsseldorf area. BUT I am also trying to find something that would allow me to visit my dear Deutsche Schwester, Naemi, for a few days in Baden-Württemberg before going on to my new life in Bonn. But again, this all depends on how much flights to Stuttgart would be and then also a train from Stuttgart to Bonn when I would need to leave. So, that is where I am at now with my travel arrangements.
I spoke to Kai again on the phone a few days ago. They are remodeling a bedroom for me and wanted to know what color I would like it to be painted. It was so cute--I told him any color he chose I would be fine with, but did suggest something bright/happy--like me of course ;) My room is going to be in the lower level (kinda like a basement--but not really?) of their house. But thats fine with me, considering I will have my own private full bath and my own seperate enterance into my room from outside. So it will be meines eigenes kleine Zimmer in Deutschland :P
..also, I changed my blogs main picture--the last one was of Köln, so I found this one of my future city of Bonn at dawn--sehr schön!
